INSTALLING WOW SOFTWARE IN WINDOWS VISTA
Horoscope Interpreter, the Astrological Calendar and Astrology for Lovers can all work with Vista... just as long as you select the Windows Compatibility Mode.
After installing the software, Vista users should do the following:
- Find Start/Programas/Horoscope Interpreter (or Lovers) and click on it with the right button
- Click on Properties
- Click on the Compatibility tab
- Underneath that is a small square box with the words “Run this program in compatibility mode for" click in the box to create a tick. The greyed out window underneath will become ‘live’. It offers several options.
- Choose Windows XP and then click OK
If you have trouble installing, install WOW programs using the Vista compatibility function:
- If you do not have the CD version, download the software from: http://www.world-of-wisdom.com/02_software/download.htm
- Go to the directory where it has been downloaded
- Right mouse click on the EXE file
a) For shareware:
- For Horoscope Interpreter that is Interprt.exe (shareware)
- For Astrology for Lovers that is lovers.exe (shareware)
- For Calendar that is setup_uk.exe (shareware)
b) For CD versions:
- Copy the CD folders to your hard disk
- Find the setup.exe file in the relevant language folder (for the Calendar use the WOWAstro.exe file in the UK language folder)
- Click on Properties
- Click on the Compatibility tab
It says, “If you have problems with this program and it worked correctly on an earlier version of Windows, select the compatibility mode that matches that earlier version.”

- Choose Windows XP and closed the dialog box, then clicked the EXE file to start installing the program
Some users with Vista compatibility problems may have to disable the User Control Account:
- Open Control Panel.
- Under User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove user account".
- Click on one of the user accounts, for example you can use the Guest account.
- Under the user account click on the "Go to the main User Account page" link.
- Under "Make changes to your user account" click on the "Change security settings" link.
- In the "Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure" click to unselect the "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer". Click on the OK button.
- You will be prompted to reboot your computer. Do so when ready. In order to re-enable UAC just select the above checkbox and reboot.
