Hi Laura
Well I think we all might think of looking at the daily transits with the progressions, but the difference is really huge. I can only say - Try it. Print out the Consultation Chart. Assume your client is the Ascendant ruler. Check out its movements. Read some horary. Or just look at the parallels with the birth chart - Adrian

Hi Adrian! This is a fascinating article; thanks for posting it. Horary astrology has always seemed a little-- how shall I put this?-- arbitrary to me, and I rarely use it. However, I'm intrigued about its use in this context.

I do have one question, though, which requires a quick explanation of my methods. For a full consultation, I erect a natal chart, a progressed chart, and then add the current transits (mainly the outer planets) to the mix, noting, in addition, if there are any significant returns recent or upcoming. By taking all these factors into account, I can usually move into the consultation with a good, basic idea of what's going on, how it's unfolding, and how the client is likely to be reacting. How does erecting a horary chart for the consultation differ?

I'll experiment with the technique, since horary has always been a sticking point for me, and this idea has caught my interest; but your thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks again for the article!
